Salford forward Ollie Roberts set to make first appearance since restart

Salford forward Ollie Roberts is set to make his first appearance since the resumption against Hull on Thursday.

The Red Devils take on the Black and Whites as part of a triple header at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday.

Ireland international Roberts is set to feature with an opportunity to push for a place in coach Ian Watson’s line-up for their Challenge Cup semi-final against Warrington a week on Saturday.

Watson said: “People going into this game against Hull need to lay down a marker to grab a semi-final shirt.”

Salford are on a high following their Cup quarter-final win over Catalans Dragons but Watson insists they will not have an eye on their semi-final with Warrington the following week.

Watson added: “We talk about processes a lot within our group and we need to make sure that they’re right for that semi-final and to do that we need to be playing games.”
