London Skolars sign Richard Wilkinson

London Skolars have signed full-back Richard Wilkinson on a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old has previously enjoyed spells with York City Knights and Doncaster in League 1.

Wilkinson admitted the opportunity of playing in the capital was too good to turn down.

He said: “I came to London because it’s a big opportunity in a big city with a club who, over the years, have been getting better and better on and off the field.

“The coach has got a really good culture going at the club and I’m really looking forward to working with all the boys and all the coaching staff to bring success to the Skolars.”

Skolars’ coach Jermaine Coleman commented: “Richard is an experienced player and we are really happy to have him in our ranks.

“We’ve been searching for someone to play at full-back to act as a link in the team and Richard has the skill and ability to do that.

“I think he’s going to be the missing link we’ve been looking for in our attack for the past season or two.”
