Toulouse to play Toronto Wolfpack at Stade Ernest Wallon, home of Toulouse rugby union

Toulouse have confirmed that their Championship home game with Toronto Wolfpack will be played at Stade Ernest Wallon, home of rugby union side Stade Toulousain.

The game takes place on Saturday March 9 (3.30pm kick-off) and presents an opportunity to explore a possible partnership between the two clubs.

The 19,000-seater stadium, home of France’s most successful rugby union club, has hosted Super League in the past – Hull KR beating Catalans 22-21 in a thriller back in June 2013.

It has also hosted a Four Nations match between France and New Zealand, in 2009, two France test matches against Australia and England in 2004, and a World Cup encounter between Papua New Guinea and South Africa in 2000.

Toulouse have been forced to play away from their Stade des Minimes home once again this season due to an ongoing dispute regarding the stadium’s development.

They have been playing out of town at the Stade Ernest Argeles, home of Blagnac rugby union club.
