Team news: Hull KR v London Broncos (Sun)
Joel Tomkins is in the Hull KR squad for Sunday’s visit of London Broncos, despite suffering concussion against Warrington last week.
The former Wigan forward was taken to hospital following an incident involving Blake Austin, which courted controversy when the disciplinary actions were announced this week.
Also in the squad is Junior Vaivai, who also had his match prematurely ended against Warrington through concussion.
New signing from Salford, Ryan Lannon, is in line to make his Hull KR debut, while Lee Jewitt is also included in Tim Sheens’ 19-man squad.
London Broncos are unchanged as they go in search of their first points away from home – having lost to nil against Salford last weekend.
Coach Danny Ward told the club’s official website: “The boys defended like trojans last week but we have to learn from these games, whether it be in victory or defeat, and take that into the next one.
“The boys have trained hard this week and gave me some selection headaches which is a positive seeing how hungry certain players are to play.”
Former Hull FC hooker James Cunningham is in line to make his 100th appearance for the Broncos.
Gordon’s Gamble: Sandwich devourer Eddie Battye’s already off the nude run, he’s 5/1 to follow up his try-scoring start against Wakefield with another in this one.
