Tom Lineham handed ban for late hit on Regan Grace
Warrington winger Tom Lineham has been handed a one-match penalty notice following the incident that led to an eight-point try in their defeat at St Helens.
Lineham, 26, struck Regan Grace after the Welsh winger touched down to score a spectacular match.
The incident was put on report by referee James Child, who gave an eight-point try, with Lachlan Coote kicking both the conversion and a penalty from under the posts as a result.
Lineham will now miss the Good Friday clash with Salford, with understudy Jake Mamo also out injured.
Wigan hooker Sam Powell has received a Grade C dangerous contact charge following the Warriors defeat at Wakefield, after which they received criticism from Trinity coach Chris Chester, who lost four players through injury during the game.
That carries a two-match penalty notice. Team-mate Joe Shorrocks evades a ban for a Grade A dangerous contact charge.
Also banned is Hull KR’s Ryan Shaw (Grade C dangerous throw, two match penalty notice) and Brayden Wiliame of Catalans (Grade B shoulder charge, one match penalty notice).
