Mark Percival set for a month on the sidelines
St Helens centre Mark Percival is facing at least a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, coach Justin Holbrook has confirmed.
Percival, 24, was helped off during the Good Friday win over Wigan and is one of a number of injury concerns for Saints following the Easter period.
Forward Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook has a knee problem that could rule him out for six weeks, while prop Luke Thompson is awaiting scan results on an ankle injury.
Holbrook said: “Percy’s a hamstring so he will probably be at least a month and Louie is the same with his knee. Luke we will find out soon. Obviously they won’t play for the next coupe of weeks but hopefully it’s not too bad.
“Hopefully Theo (Fages) will be back by Sunday.
“Obviously every side was a bit battered around because of the Easter period and the fact we’ve played two games in really hot conditions, extremely hot conditions for over here, and we will have to look at that as the week goes on.
“I’m happy to make changes but as I said at the start of the year, I won’t rest people for no reasons.”
