London will come back stronger, says Danny Ward

London coach Danny Ward is immensely proud of his side’s campaign in 2019, despite suffering relegation from Super League.

The Broncos didn’t manage to avoid the drop on Friday as they were defeated 19-10 at Wakefield.

London will ply their trade in the Championship again next year, with Ward staying on as head coach.

Ward said: “They’ve done themselves proud but unfortunately we just weren’t good enough.

“But it’s been outstanding to work with this group of players. It’s a bit of a blip in the road and we’ll come back stronger.

“What a learning experience for us all – I think we have all got better as the weeks have gone on.

“We can be proud of how we have gone about our business and how we have improved because the majority of that side have come up from the Championship.

“There are loads of positives, but at the end of the day we have been relegated and it’s absolutely heartbreaking for the lads.”
