Wigan youngster joins Oldham
Oldham have signed young centre James Worthington from Wigan for the 2020 season.
The 20-year-old made his Super League debut for the Warriors in 2017, scoring two tries against Wakefield.
Worthington has also enjoyed loan spells at London Skolars, Swinton, Toulouse, Rochdale and Workington.
Oldham coach Matt Diskin said: “James comes from a Super League background at Wigan and he’s been well thought of whoever he has played on loan or dual-registration.
“We’ve done really well to get him against considerable competition and it’s felt he will do well for us on the fringes next season.”
Worthington added: “I’ve played for a few clubs on loan but I’m made up to become a fully-fledged Oldham player.
“I’ve been at Wigan since I was 16, so it’s a new challenge for me and I’m eagerly looking forward to it.”
