Ritchie Hawkyard comes out of retirement for Keighley return
Ritchie Hawkyard has returned to Keighley less than a month after announcing his retirement from the game.
The 33-year-old has penned a deal with the Cougars for the 2021 League 1 campaign.
Hawkyard has scored 96 tries and kicked 53 goals in 257 career appearances for Bradford, Swinton, Oldham and Keighley.
In a short statement released by Keighley, it read: “The Keighley Cougars can announce that Ritchie Hawkyard has decided against retirement and has re-joined the club for the 2020 season.
“He will join the boys once again for training from Thursday evening.”
