Featherstone chief executive Davide Longo says the club are aiming to achieve promotion to Super League this season.

The Rovers have made a couple of big signings ahead of the Championship campaign – Craig Hall, Brett Ferres, Dale Ferguson, Thomas Minns and Wellington Albert.

Featherstone finished fifth in the Championship last season and got to the Grand Final, losing to Toronto in the Grand Final.

Longo said: “It is imperative for us as a club to grow our attendances even further in 2020, we’ve put together a strong team to compete at the highest level in the Championship.

“The support in the play-offs last season was fantastic and we urge any fan that hasn’t been down to the stadium for a while to support us in 2020.

“Our focus for this year is placing Featherstone back to where it belongs, it would be fantastic to see the club playing in the Super League when we will be celebrating its centenary year in 2021.

“We are fully aware of the strength of other clubs in the league and understand the need to be consistent throughout the season, we believe our squad is ready for the challenge ahead.”
