Hull KR to host international clash as part of triple-header in May

Hull KR will host an international test between Netherlands and Sweden ahead of their Super League match against St Helens in May.

The Robins will take on Super League champions St Helens at the Hull College Craven Park on Sunday, May 31 (3pm).

The international test between Netherlands and Sweden will kick-off at 12:45pm, with the third game being a reserve fixture against Saints after the first-team game.

Netherlands coach Kane Krlic said: “We are excited to be invited to play at the home of such a renowned rugby league club, which has in the past hosted many of the top international teams. Now the Netherlands will be a part of this history.

“We have a high focus on hard work and toughness in our team and I am hoping that the boys can show that off in abundance to the Hull KR and St Helens supporters.”

Sweden chairman Sebastian Johnson-Cadwell commented: “Sweden RL (SRL) are honoured to take on Netherlands RL at Hull College Craven Park.

“The challenge of taking on the Dutch team in a Super League stadium is an exciting landmark for SRL, and a great opportunity for these two emerging nations to perform in front of such passionate fans, and as the curtain raiser for the visit of the Super League champions to a resurgent Rovers.”
