Sydney Roosters train with Catalans ahead of World Club Challenge

NRL 2019 champions Sydney Roosters have landed in France to train with Catalans ahead of their World Club Challenge fixture this weekend.

Super League holders St Helens host the Roosters this Saturday at the Totally Wicked Stadium, and if the NRL side claim the victory, they will become the first back-to-back winners in the fixture’s history.

The contest is being held in England for the 19th time in 21 years since the concept was established, with the action kicking off on Sky Sports from 7:45pm.

The Dragons and the Roosters have been training at Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium this morning in the build-up to the weekend.

Skipper Boyd Cordner has travelled with Sydney for the fixture, but won’t play, while Angus Crichton is expected to play in the centres following the departure of Latrell Mitchell.

Ryan Hall will also be hoping to make an appearance on home-soil, and Kyle Flanagan could make his debut for Sydney.
