Leeds nil Warrington at Headingley
Leeds made it three wins in a row as they embarrassed Warrington 36-0 at Headingley on Friday night.
Warrington haven’t won away from home since July 6, when they beat London, and they have won just two from five so far this campaign.
Richard Agar made just one change to his Leeds side that won at Salford last week. Rhyse Martin returned from injury and replaced Alex Sutcliffe.
Warrington coach Steve Price made two changes to his outfit that beat Toronto last time out. Chris Hill returned from suspension and off-season recruit Keanan Brand made his debut for the club.
Matty Ashton (hamstring) and Danny Walker dropped out for the Wolves.
Leeds hit the ground running as they scored through Jack Walker just six minutes in to the game.
Papua New Guinea international Martin added two penalty goals midway through the first half to put the Rhinos in a 10-0 lead.
It was all Leeds in the first half as Warrington made countless errors. Richie Myler scampered over for the Rhinos just before half-time which saw Agar’s side 14-0 to the good at the break.
And the Rhinos were even more dominant in the second half. Brad Dwyer scored in the 45th minute to put the hosts 20-0 up.
Things went from bad to worse for Warrington as Ben Murdoch-Masila was sin-binned for a high shot on Alex Mellor. Leeds scored in the following set thanks to a bulldozing carry from Konrad Hurrell.
Further efforts from Ava Seumanufagai and Ash Handley saw Leeds finish impressive 36-0 winners at home.
