Ben Flower and Sam Tomkins banned for two games
Wigan prop Ben Flower and Catalans full-back Sam Tomkins have been given two-match bans.
Flower has been charged with a Grade C dangerous contact offence by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel for a cannonball tackle on Hull KR back-rower Matty Storton, who was forced to leave the field with injury in Wigan’s 30-16 win over Hull KR on Sunday.
Warriors forward Ollie Partington has had a Grade D dangerous contact charge referred to a tribunal.
Meanwhile, Tomkins will serve a two-match suspension for a Grade B trip in Catalans’ 30-14 victory over Salford in Perpignan on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Hull FC forward Ligi Sao has been banned for a match for a Grade A strike in their 27-26 win at Wakefield.
Huddersfield back-rower Joe Wardle was handed a caution for using his knees.
