Walker set for lengthy injury lay-off

Leeds Rhinos full-back Jack Walker faces up to six months on the sidelines after suffering a serious foot injury, reports League Express.

Leeds coach Richard Agar told League Express: “He’s look at four to six months. He has broken bones and split ligaments.”

Harlequins interested in Hastings

Harlequins are the latest rugby union club interested in Jackson Hastings, reports The Rugby Paper.

The Great Britain international, who has two years to run on his contract with Wigan, was linked with a move to Gloucester recently but The Rugby Paper suggests Harlequins are keen.

Clubb keen on coaching

Wigan Warriors prop Tony Clubb is already working on what he plans to do after he retires from the game, reports League Express.

Clubb told League Express: “I’ve been interested in coaching for a little while. I asked if it was okay to go down to watch the Under-18s and share some knowledge.”

Cuthbertson wants season to be completed

Cut number of games to get season finished says Leeds’ Adam Cuthbertson, reports The Yorkshire Post.

Cuthbertson told The Yorkshire Post: “A shorter, punchier season might make for a more exciting one and create more interest – and have better performances from round one to whenever we finish.”

Sawyer takes over at Bradford

Bradford Bulls part owner Mark Sawyer has become chief executive of the club on an unpaid basis, reports League Express.

Sawyer has been given special dispensation to take on the role while still chairman of Dewsbury Rams by the Rugby Football League, according to League Express.

SL and RFL reunion?

Super League clubs have been warned they must make a seismic U-turn and reunite with the Rugby Football League if they are to survive the coronavirus crisis, reports Daily Mail.

Legal expert Richard Cramer told the Mail on Sunday: “My view is that the RFL will be the organisation with the seat at the table.”
