Brisbane 12-25 St George

St George Illawarra ended Brisbane¹s 100 percent record with a 25-12 victory over the Broncos at a packed Suncorp Stadium.

Israel Folau struck first for the hosts crossing out wide before Ben Creagh hit back for The Dragons.

The visitors continued to dominate the first period but could only extend their lead to 8-6 with a penalty, although Brisbane were denied a try on an iffy forward pass call from referee Shayne Hayne.

Jamie Soward scored first after the break following Antonio Winterstein¹s fumble, before former Bronco Wendell Sailor scored from a movement down the left hand side of the field.

Soward was instrumental in their next score, sycthing through before offloading to Brett Morris who went in out wide although Brisbane maestro Darren Lockyer did keep it interesting with a try.

But a penalty and a field goal from the visitors was enough to see them pull off an unlikley victory.
