Howell signs Harlequins extension
Harlequins Australian centre David Howell has signed a two year contract extension at Twickenham Stoop.
Howell, 25, will remain in the capital until the end of 2011, having signed from Canberra Raiders in 2008.
Head Coach, Brian McDermott, said: “When I first signed David I said he was one of Rugby League’s best kept secrets; his performances this season and last mean he is definitely on people’s radar now.
“David is currently in outstanding form, having started every game for us this season and we are very glad that he’s decided to stay with us.”
Howell, Harlequins’ top try scorer this term, said: “I’m enjoying playing my football at Harlequins more than I have anywhere before and I now call London my home.
“The coaching staff and players have been fantastic and given me the chance to concentrate on my game, which I think has shown in my form this season.”
