Bradford 24-30 Celtic
Celtic secured a historic first win in Super League with a gutsy performance at Bradford.
The Welsh outfit were made to fight for their win after Bradford fought back only for Luke Dyer to wrap up a deserved victory in the closing stages.
Tries from Beasley, Tangata-toa and Withers helped the Crusaders rack up a 6-20 lead ten minutes into the second half but Bradford seized a life-line with Worrincy going over after a drop-out.
Celtic replied with a great effort from Dyer to finish off Van-Dyke’s kick to edge further infront but Bradford’s Menzies scored to keep the game alive at 18-24.
Hannay held his nerve to slot over a penalty to leave Bradford needing two scores with only 5 minutes remaining and Sykes provided one of them for the Bulls as they looked to snatch an unlikely victory.
It was to be Celtic’s day however and Luke Dyer scored his second try in the corner to end the Crusader’s 11 match losing run in the top flight in an impressive mannor.
