Ellis ruled out for two weeks
Wests Tigers‘ season has gone from bad to worse after it was revealed that second rower Gareth Ellis will be sidelined for two weeks with a broken thumb.
Ellis, who has been a standout performer in the Tigers’ pack so far this season, picked up the injury in his side’s 14-0 defeat against the New Zealand Warriors.
The Tigers have lost their last four consecutive NRL matches and already have an extensive injury list which includes Chris Lawrence, Keith Galloway, Dean Collis, Peni Tagive, Blake Lazarus and now Ellis.
Their last game against the Panthers saw the Tigers crash to a 26-10 defeat.
