Huddersfield confirm player exits
Huddersfield have confirmed the departure of six first-team members from their 2009 squad.
As previously reported, Liam Fulton is set to join NRL side Wests Tigers, and he is to be followed out of the exit door by Paul Jackson, Richard Lopag, Joe Walsh, Tom Hemingway and Chris Lawson.
Meanwhile, hooker Scott Moore is set to return to St Helens following the end of his loan spell, while prop Michael Korkidas has signed a season-long loan deal for 2010 with Wakefield.
Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said: “It seems as soon as the September 1st deadline passes that the rumour mill in the game flies totally out of control and there is much speculation around players.
“I hope that the above satisfies some of the questions that our supporters are asking of us and that they respect the players own situations going forward and am sure that when any player feels comfortable to announce his future club then they will do so.
“In the meantime everyone at our Club is entirely focused on the game against Wigan and then the play off series.
“It remains a very exciting time to be a Giants supporter and am sure that we have much to look forward to in the short, medium and long term.”
Prop Jackson has been linked with a move with Castleford, while once highly-rated half-back Tom Hemingway has failed to fulfil his potential at the Galpharm Stadium and is on the look out for a new club.
He spent time on loan with Championship side Leigh earlier this year, and has previously had a spell at Batley.
