No Storm chase for Inglis

Melbourne superstar Greg Inglis has been included in the tour party to travel to the UK, despite suffering from a hip injury.

But the 23-year-old test centre, who missed out in the showpiece Allstars clash last weekend, has hopes to play in the Worlc Club Challenge against Leeds on February 28.

Inglis was due to fly later this week and miss the Storm’s warm-up match against Harlequins but could now play a part in the clash at the Stoop in a bid to prove his fitness.

“He is doing more running now,” Storm football manager Frank Ponissi told The Herald Sun.

“He didn’t play in the All-Stars game … and our physio wants him to come with us and keep working on him.”

Prop Jeff Lima is making the trip under an injury cloud after suffering leg tightness.

He too could be required to play against Harlequins to earn selection against Leeds.

The squad also includes the likes of Brett Finch, Under 20’s captain Luke Kelly and Anthony Quinn who has returned from a neck injury.

Other notable inclusions in the squad are teenager Matt Duffie and former Newcastle Knights winger Luke MacDougall.
