Adebisi returns to London with Skolars

London Skolars have signed former London Broncos winger Ade Adebisi following his release by Whitehaven.

Adebisi, 24, started his career with the London Broncos academy, making his debut with the Broncos in Super League in 2004. He also spent time on loan at Hull before moving to Doncaster in 2007.

He finished that season in the National League 2 championship winning side Featherstone, before moving to Cumbria with Whitehaven.

He was Whitehaven’s top try scorer in 2008 with 22 tries in 30 games, but he struggled with injuries last season, and wasn’t given a squad number by coach Ged Stokes for 2010, resulting in his departure from the club.

Skolars head coach James Massara said: “Ade brings is some top level experience to the squad. I remember watching play for the Broncos and Hull, when he was young, and I was always impressed with the spark he brought to the game. He has fitted right in to the group of players we have down here and he is looking forward to getting back to playing again.”
