Bramley Buffaloes coach Mark Butterill has recently spent a few days with Warrington Wolves to get a feel for how the Super League side train and prepare for big games.

“I’ve been lucky enough to spend a couple of days at Warrington,” explained Mark “with a view to furthering my coaching knowledge and experience and it’s been an invaluable lesson especially on the day of their recent game against Crusaders.

“Tony Smith and James Lowes took a lot of time out to talk to me about their coaching methods and I’d like to put on record my thanks to both of them as well as the Wolves’ Head of Youth Development, John Bastian, who made the whole experience possible,” added Mark who is busy preparing the Buffaloes for what promises to be an exciting and competitive national summer conference season.

Meanwhile Butterill has named Paul Drake as captain for the 2010 season. The Buffaloes’ half back, consistently top scorer for the club over the past six seasons, exclaimed: “This is a great honour to skipper a club with so much history and I’ll be hoping to lead us to success again.”
