Which rugby league stars would play Harry Potter characters?
Harry Potter star Matt Lewis believes James Graham would make a cracking Ron Weasley.
Hollywood actor Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, grew up in Leeds and is a huge Rhinos fan.
Appearing on Sky Sports’ Golden Point Podcast, Lewis named his rugby league personnel who would make good characters in Harry Potter.
Harry Potter
“I was trying to think of rugby league players with glasses and I couldn’t think of any! So I’ll have to pick Jason Davidson (team manager) from the Rhinos.”
Ron Weasley
“My instinct was Liam Farrell for Ron Weasley but it has got to be James Graham.”
Hermoine Granger
“I was talking to Cuthbo (Adam Cuthbertson) about this and we thought Courtney Hill would be good for Hermione Granger or Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook back when he had his long hair!”
Voldemort
“I’ve got two for Voldemort. I’ve got Keith Senior with his bald head but when I was younger, he who must not be named in my house was Brian Noble (ex-Bradford coach).”
Dumbledore
“We need someone who has been there and done that for Dumbledore, so I’ve got Wayne Bennett or John Kear.”
Neville Longbottom
“It is someone who has achieved the most whilst facing the greatest adversity and who had no right at all to be a rugby league player – Rob Burrow.”
