The Rugby Codebreakers documentary to be shown on BBC this weekend

The Rugby Codebreakers documentary is being broadcast by the BBC again this weekend.

Carolyn Hitt investigates why so many men gave up their dreams of playing rugby union for Wales, by committing an act that was considered tantamount to treason – switching codes to play rugby league.

Her journey explores the impact of class, race and economic change on the game at the heart of Welsh identity.

The documentary will be shown on BBC One Wales on Sunday at 10:30pm – but it can also be viewed in England.

The Rugby Codebreakers will be on BBC iPlayer for 30 days following transmission.
