How Jason Clark helped Warrington secure signature of Greg Inglis
Warrington forward Jason Clark played a crucial role in the club’s signing of superstar Greg Inglis.
Former Australia and Queensland representative Inglis, 33, has agreed to join the Wolves on a one-year contract for 2021.
And Clark, who spent eight years with Inglis at South Sydney, played a big role in Warrington securing his services.
Inglis told the club’s website: “I got a phone call from my best mate Jason Clark who’s over there with you guys already.
“We were just having a general chit chat when we spoke about the idea.
“I think anyone that knows Jason knows what he’s about – what you see is what you get. He’s pure class, he doesn’t expect anything in return, he does things out of the goodness of his heart.
“He doesn’t want any recognition for anything and since day one when I went to Souths we just hit it off and have been best mates since.
“I just had a chat with him and he was very honest which he always is about the club and the travel and how he’s gotten used to it. I speak very highly of Jason as I respect the man he is.”
