Coley loses appeal
Wigan prop Andy Coley has lost his appeal against a one-match ban handed down to him by the RFL earlier this week.
Coley was cited for a Grade A dangerous throw in his side’s Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat against Leeds on Saturday.
He appealed the decision, but the one-match ban and £300 fine remain, and he will sit out Wigan’s clash with Castleford on Sunday.
Bradford’s Paul Sykes, however, was successful in his appeal against a one-match suspension imposed following an incident in their game with Warrington last weekend, and he will be free to line-up for the Bulls against Huddersfield on Sunday.
