Roden concern for Oldham
Martin Roden (ankle) is Oldham’s biggest injury concern, after he was forced to limp out of the action just 20 minutes into last week’s game against Workington.
Paul O’Connor and Dave Ellison will both be checked after taking knocks to the head, but Mick Fogerty is expected to play despite suffering severe cramp last week.
Jason Boults, Ben Heaton and Matty Ashe will be given late fitness tests before Oldham coach Tony Benson finalises his squad.
Roughyeds beat Workington 28-16 last week, a result that means victory this week would see them leapfrog Hunslet at the top of the Co-operative Championship One table.
Benson said: “I wouldn’t say we were completely back to our best form, but the foundations are definitely there again and I think I can safely say we are back on the horse.”
Dave Best and Lee Marsh are nearing returns for Blackpool, although neither is expected to play on Sunday.
But Wigan youngster Stuart Howarth cold feature for the Panthers after signing a dual-registration deal with Martin Crompton’s men.
