Ablett to appeal three-match ban
Carl Ablett is to appeal against the three-match ban that will force him to miss Leeds Rhinos’ Carnegie Challenge Cup semi final against St Helens.
The RFL appeals tribunal will meet today [Thursday] to decide Ablett’s case.
The second row was given a three-match ban and a £300 fine by the RFL disciplinary committee for recklessly striking Wigan full back Sam Tomkins.
Even if the ban is reduced the Ablett is unlikely to feature against Saints as the semi final is Leeds’s next fixture.
