Challenge Cup draw – sixth round and quarter-finals
Defending champions Warrington will play St Helens in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals after the competition was redrawn following the withdrawal of several clubs.
Super League side Toronto Wolfpack pulled out while Sheffield, York, Widnes, Newcastle and Featherstone also announced they would not be competing after a lack of preparation due to the coronavirus shutdown.
In the sixth round, where ties will be played at Huddersfield on August 22, Castleford were drawn first to play Hull FC while Catalans Dragons were paired with Wakefield, with six other clubs receiving a bye into the last eight.
In March, Warrington’s defence of their title was due to start at Wigan, but this time they were given a tie versus St Helens in a repeat of last year’s final.
Leeds will play Hull KR, who they were scheduled to play in the sixth round before the re-draw, while the winner of the Castleford-Hull FC game will face Wigan and the club who progresses between Catalans Dragons and Wakefield will take on Salford.
