Player records to remain intact despite season cancellation
Player records from games involving Toronto Wolfpack and in Championship and League 1 will remain, it has been confirmed.
RFL statistician Daniel Spencer and the recently revived Rugby League Record Keepers’ Club have agreed that appearances made and points scored by individual players in those fixtures will remain on players’ records.
Toronto’s six Super League games have been expunged from the league table, a move which has now been ratified by the RFL.
But while there’s no trace of them on the league table, appearances and points clocked up in those games will remain on player records, similarly with all games played in the Championship and League 1 this season, as well as the Challenge Cup.
Super League’s current top points scorer Danny Richardson scored eight points in Castleford’s win over Toronto back in February.
Hull KR centre Ben Crooks tops the try scoring charts with seven to date.
