Leigh keep local pair
Local duo Martyn Ridyard and James Taylor have signed new contracts with Leigh Centurions.
The pair have agreed new deals that keep them tied to the club until the end of the 2011 season.
Centurions Head Coach Ian Millward has been negotiating with both players over the past fortnight and was pleased to announce their signatures.
“Both players are part of what we are trying to build at the club. They both had good season’s with us and I am very pleased they have agreed to stay,” he said.
Stand-off Ridyard originally signed for the club in October 2008 from Leigh Miners Rangers and scored ten tries and eleven goals last term while Taylor, who debuted for the club in 2005 missed just one game last season.
