Jose Kenga signs contract extension with Swinton
Swinton prop Jose Kenga has signed a new one-year deal with the club for 2021.
Kenga joined the Lions in 2019 from Keighley and has made 19 appearances for the club so far.
He said: “I’m really happy to be signing again for this great club. I’m loving my time here – we have a real family culture and it’s one that I’m really proud of and enjoy being part of.
“I was really gutted about how the season ended this year, especially because when the weather starts to improve that’s when we really start creating problems for our opponents.
“But that’s life, and we’ve been continuing to work hard on our personal fitness throughout these troubled times. In fact I can’t wait to be back training with the lads and be out on that field again in front of our great fans.
“As regards 2021, I am personally hoping for a great year. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to develop further as a player under Stuart (Littler, coach), as I’m continuously improving towards being the best version of myself.
“I believe there are some exciting times ahead at this club. Finally, I’d like to thank the directors for their ongoing support during the last few months.”
