Raiders secure Harrison for three more years

Kiwi international forward Bronson Harrison has extended his contract with Canberra until the end of 2014.

The 25-year-old has been one of the Raiders most impressive performers since joining the club from Wests Tigers in 2009.

Harrison had been strongly linked with a move to Parramatta but decided to extend his stay in the Australian capital.

“It’s been a great move for me coming to Canberra and its helped me become a better player by being here,” he said.

“It’s a club that’s going places for sure and I’m really looking forward to continuing to get better both personally and as a team in the years ahead.”

Raiders CEO Don Furner said that the club were delighted at Harrison’s re-signing.

“Bronson is the prime example of a player coming to the club and becoming a better player and we’re ecstatic to have him here for three more years,” he said.

“We’ve put a lot of focus on getting players to the club who want to be here and then keeping them here and we’ll be looking to hopefully continue this in the weeks ahead.”

Harrison will line up alongside State of Origin representatives Tom Learoyd-Lahrs and David Shillington in a strong looking Raiders pack in 2011.
