Three Championship players handed bans

Three Championship 1 players have been handed one match bans after being found guilty of committing offences during recent Championship and Challenge Cup games.

Workington Town player Ryan MacDonald has been suspended for two games after being found guilty of committing two offences during his sides Championship One game with Oldham Roughyeds.

MacDonald received a one match ban for committing a Grade B offence for use of the forearm in possession of the ball and was then handed a further one match ban for using foul and abusive language towards a match official, also a Grade B offence.

MacDonald was also fined £50 after the RFL Disciplinary Committee ruled he had behaved in a manner contrary to the spirit of the game.

Whitehaven RL player David Ford has received a one match ban and a £50 fine after he was found guilty of a Grade B punching incident during his side’s Co-operative Championship One contest with Rochdale Hornets.

Gateshead Thunder player Chris Parker has also received a one match suspension after he was found guilty of a Grade B punching offence during his side’s Challenge Cup contest with Milford Marlins.
