Willie Mason leaves Hull KR

Australian forward Willie Mason has left Hull KR with immediate effect and has signed a deal with French rugby union outfit Toulon.

The giant forward only made six appearances for the Robins since arriving at the club in March and was de-registered by the club to make way for the returning Australian scrum half Michael Dobson.

Mason is set to make his rugby union debut for the Barbarians when they face England at Twickenham on May 29th.

Mason commented “I’m just so excited to be playing rugby and I’m looking forward to the challenge”
