Leigh Centurions booked their place in the Northern Rail Cup final, where they will face Halifax, after a 44-10 victory over Dewsbury at Leigh Sports Village.

Leigh will face Halifax in the 2011 Northern Rail Cup final at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road on Sunday July 17 after both sides were successful in their respective semi-final contests.

The Centurions defeated Dewsbury Rams by 44-10 on Sunday to secure their place in the final after Halifax had already confirmed their place at the seaside when they beat Featherstone Rovers by 31-30 in front of the live Sky Sports cameras on Thursday.

The final is set to be a compelling contest with Halifax, last season’s Championship winners facing Leigh, who fell at the semi-final hurdle during last season’s Northern Rail competition and both sides will be determined to make the most of their day out in Blackpool.
