Crusaders suspend seven players

Crusaders have suspended seven players, including half-back Jarrod Sammut, for breaches of club discipline, and all will miss Saturday’s match against Hull KR.

Jason Chan, Gil Dudson, Richard Moore, Peter Lupton, Jordan Tansey, Lloyd White and Sammut will not be selected by Iestyn Harris at the weekend.

Crusaders Chief Executive Rod Findlay said: “We will not be going into the details of what happened but the club’s code of discipline was broken. The players have let the club, fans and themselves down and we have taken the appropriate action.”

The club will be making no further comment on the matter.
