Hamzat doubtful for Swinton clash

Whitehaven flier Loz Hamzat is doubtful for Sunday’s clash against Champions Swinton after picking up a knee injury in Haven’s 20-18 defeat at Doncaster.

Coach David Seeds said they would make a decision on the youngster later in the week, although admitted that is unlikely he will feature.

“It is too early to tell yet how bad the injury is. As he is at university we will not get to see him until Thursday but it looked that he could be doubtful after the game.

“It would be disappointing for Loz as he has been going very well for us, there are very few errors in his game.

“He has got something that most people haven’t got, he has pace, agility and just something about him. He is also still learning but in the last few weeks I have been really impressed with him. It is disappointing for him to have this minor setback.”
