Crusaders future to be revealed
The future of Crusaders will be revealed at a press conference on Wednesday.
Fans have launched a “Save the Cru” campaign to help preserve the club, following its decision to withdraw its application for a Super League licence for the years 2012-15.
Formed in 2005 as the Celtic Crusaders, the club has endured a few turbulent years after a rise which saw them win the National League 2 division, before being granted a Super League licence for the 2009 season.
However, the club hit problems and after one season in the top flight, relocated to Wrexham, but problems continued, and the club started this campaign on minus four points having entered administration in the close season.
It is hoped that the club will line up in the Championship league structure next season, possibly alongside South Wales Scorpions, who have just completed their second season of existence.
