Goulding confident of Scotland win

France coach Bobbie Goulding is confident that his side can post their first win of the autumn against Scotland on Saturday (October 29th).

The French suffered a 38-18 defeat to England Knights, but were much improved in a 32-18 defeat to the full England team.

Scotland come into the game on the back of a 26-6 victory over Ireland in the opening game of this three-way tournament.

“My tactics for the England game worked well and we caused them problems,” said Goulding.

Thomas Bosc‘s kicking game was excellent considering he’s not played with confidence for 18 months. Both he and Jamal Fakir only wanted to play two games but after Friday they’re both staying with the squad.

“You’ve got to respect Scotland and Ireland […] both teams can play some good football.

“They could be very difficult games but if every one of my players gives 100 per cent we could be looking at a big score on Saturday.”
