England set to wear poppies
England RL have confirmed that they will wear poppies on their shirts when they face New Zealand on Saturday in wake of the news that their football counterparts have been banned.
The England football team has been banned from having printed poppies on their shirt by FIFA, the international governing body, which has caused uproar in the football community.
However England RL Coach Steve McNamara confirmed that his side would be wearing poppies on their shirts and told Wire FM “It should be allowed. Simple as that”.
England face New Zealand in Hull on Saturday and need a victory in order to progress to the Four Nations final against Australia.
