Farah denies Sheens rift

Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah has denied reports that his relationship with coach Tim Sheens has broken down.

Farah has moved to quell speculation that he is on the search for a new club after reports of a fall-out with Sheens during the recent Four Nations tournament.

In a statement, Farah said he was disappointed with Sheens’ decision to leave him out of the Australia side to face England at Wembley.

“I had prepared all week to play in the Test match against England and was very excited by the prospect of playing in a big Test match at Wembley Stadium,” said Farah.

Farah was later forced to fly back to Australia after his mother was diagnosed with cancer.

He added: “When plans changed late in the week and Tim told me that I would not be taking my place in the side, I was understandably disappointed as any player would be.’’

“That said, I totally accepted Tim’s decision. To now suggest that I would be seeking to leave the Club that I love is just ridiculous and unfounded.

Farah went on to say that his relationship has not been affected and he is “totally committed” to his Tigers team mates.
