Durbin among new Crusaders quartet
North Wales Crusaders have signed former Super League half-back Jamie Durbin, ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Leigh East on Friday.
Durbin, 27, played in the top flight for both Warrington and Widnes, before turning out for Rochdale, Doncaster and Leigh in the Championships.
He was Leigh’s top try scorer in 2009 after they handed him a second chance in rugby league following a two-year doping ban handed to him in 2006.
Crusaders have also signed Carl Leach from National Conference side Warrington Bank Quay Bulls, Adam Walsh from St Helens amateur side Thatto Heath Crusaders and former Leigh East second rower Jonny Walker.
Head coach Clive Griffiths said: “These four are great new additions to our growing list of players. They all know the game, they are born and bred Rugby League players and are just the kind of players that we need to get on board as we build in our first season.”
