James goes on loan to Halifax
Wakefield prop Matt James has joined Championship club Halifax on a month’s loan.
James, 24, only joined his hometown club in the close season from Barrow Raiders, signing a two-year deal, but has been sent out on loan before the start of the new Super League campaign.
He started his professional career at Bradford, before an unsuccessful spell in the capital with Harlequins.
He spent time on loan at The Shay back in 2009 and has since played for Barrow in the Championships.
James goes straight in to the Halifax team for Sunday’s friendly clash against Huddersfield Giants.
