Lui suffers knee injury
North Queensland recruit Robert Lui will undergo scans after suffering a knee injury in training.
Lui, who joined from Wests Tigers in the off-season, was struck down in a tackle at a team session on Friday.
He is almost certain to miss the Cowboys’ pre-season trial against Brisbane on February 4 but General Manager Peter Parr is hopeful that Lui will be able to return soon.
In a statement, Parr said: “Robert will have scans tomorrow. We should have the results on Monday following consultation between our doctor and medical staff.
“We are confident it’s not a serious injury and cannot comment or speculate any further until we have the scan results.”
