Watch: Mose Masoe’s emotional return to watching Hull KR team-mates

Hull KR co-captain Mose Masoe walked into the Halliwell Jones Stadium alongside his team-mates to watch his side face Salford on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old is making incredible progress in his bid to recover from a severe spinal injury sustained while playing for Hull KR against Wakefield in a pre-season friendly back in January.

Masoe walked into the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Tuesday to watch his side face Salford, with the Robins running out 24-22 winners against Salford.

Masoe said: “It was a bit emotional coming out today (Tuesday). I didn’t know how I was going to feel but I’ve been going really good with my rehab.

“I’d like to say thanks to the RFL Benevolent Fund, they’ve helped me out massively and have got me to where I am today.

“I just appreciate the little things in life now. Just being able to come and watch a game of footy is massive for me and my family. My partner was texting me, she was worried at home asking ‘have I fallen over?’ or if I’d be able to do things but I said ‘don’t worry about me, I’ve got all my brothers in there that can help me out’. I’m just stoked to be here.

“I’m going to try and get to as many games as I can. I get a massive buzz being here with the boys, especially because we got the win today. I was stoked. Salford are going really well and I wish them the best in the Challenge Cup but the boys got the win and I’m going to celebrate it with them.”
