Huby returns for Cas
Castleford’s longest serving player, Craig Huby, will be back in the line-up to face Featherstone in Saturday’s mouth watering Challenge Cup tie.
Huby, 25, has been out of action for almost a year after suffering a fractured knee cap in a game against St Helens, but will make his long-awaited return in the fourth round cup clash at the Bigfellas Stadium.
Head coach Ian Millward said: “The inclusion of Craig will benefit us; It’s like making a mid season signing. He’s a very skilful player and definitely has what it takes to play International.
“It’s a big boost; he’s really impressed us in training and over the last few weeks.
“We’ve been really careful with him. Our agenda at all times was to not only get him back, but to get him back fit and ready so he’s in a position where he is not vulnerable.
“He’s skilful, his presence is good and he adds size to the team.
“He’ll play on Saturday which will be great for us as a club.”
Huby, now in his 10th season with the Tigers, starts his testimonial next month.
The Pontefract-born front-rower has made more than 150 appearances for the club since making his debut as a 16-year-old in 2003.
