Featherstone edging towards their peak
Featherstone Rovers coach Daryl Powell believes his side are on the verge of reaching their peak following their 60-18 demolition of Dewsbury.
Rovers, who are four places above Thursday’s opposition in Keighley, will be boosted by the return of Anthony England after completing his one match suspension.
In more good news, goal-kicking ace Liam Finn is just seven successful kicks short from breaking Barry Eaton’s world record of 38 successful kicks.
Featherstone boss, “We were outstanding, particularly coming away from our line. It was back to some of our best Rugby League. It was a big win for us and confidence is building again.
“We’ve got an outstanding team and it’s all in our head: when our heads are right, we’re fine and we don’t have any issues.”
Rovers were cruelly knocked out in the semi-finals last year by the narrowest of margins to Halifax, losing 31-30 in golden point extra time.
