We have taken a look at six of the best centres in the 2020 Super League season.
Zak Hardaker (Wigan Warriors)
The Great Britain international has been an excellent signing for Wigan. Hardaker scored five tries and kicked 72 goals in 20 games this term. He played a vital role in helping the Warriors reach the Super League Grand Final.
Toby King (Warrington Wolves)
The 24-year-old has been one of the best centres in the competition for a couple of years now. The Ireland and England Knights international played 19 games for the Wolves in 2020, providing 10 assists as well as making more offloads than any other player in Super League with 42.
Konrad Hurrell (Leeds Rhinos)
The Tongan has been a marvellous addition to Super League. Hurrell scored seven tries in 13 games for Leeds this year and helped the Rhinos win the Challenge Cup at Wembley. The 29-year-old also had an average metre gain of 9.45 per carry.
Jake Wardle (Huddersfield Giants)
The 22-year-old was one to watch for Huddersfield this term. Wardle was at the heart of most things the Giants did in attack and he was a big threat for opposition defences, scoring five tries in 17 matches.
Josh Griffin (Hull FC)
Griffin enjoyed a fine year with the Black and Whites, scoring five tries and providing six assists in 18 matches. The 30-year-old had an impressive average metre gain of 9.28 per carry and also made 13 clean breaks.
Carlos Tuimavave also had a stellar season for Hull and showed great versatility in 2020, with the Samoa international starring at half-back as well as centre.
Kevin Naiqama (St Helens)
The Fiji international had a fantastic season individually and as part of Saints’ squad. Naiqama scored eight tries in 21 appearances as well as helping Kristian Woolf’s side win the Super League Grand Final for a second year in a row.
